You take what you get and be glad you skipped breakfast.
And yes, I folded my passenger mirror before attempting.

This is why cars get keyed in garages -- if you must park in a compact space (or any space), take the time to park courteously!

I’ve been late to a lot of things you should not be late to because I didn’t like the parking situation, lol. Sometimes I just leave.

I agree, but this was a medical thing, so I had to keep an open mind

And somehow it’s always like this at medical facilities. I hate going to the doctor but have had to recently. I missed the appointment so many times that my wife made it, picked me up from work, and took me to the doctor like I’m 9 years old lol.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who does this. If there’s a parking lot (or parking lot situation) I don’t like, I nope right on outta there.

For a second I thought that was a Q7, then realized it was next to your FRS. A Q5 never looked so big!

Your 86 can pass as compact maybe, but that Audi owner is an ass hat.

When I was in the middle of a heart attack, I drove myself to the hospital. I then found a great parking space in the far corner of the mostly empty lot (it was 6:45 am) that would protect against door dings and walked to the emergency room. The doctors suggested that none of the foregoing was a wise strategy. :)

My friends and I still travel together, we’re all in our mid 30's most have kids etc... A lot has changed as far as the organization emails go... T he most recent trip’s email included the following statements/info:
P lease let the chef know about any dietary restrictions .
ABSOLUTELY no smoking or drug use on the “kids” side of the house. Also no overly intoxicated people allowed on the kids side. No noise after 8.
ABSOLUTELY no kids on the party side of the house pretty much always.
As always the best bedroom is reserved for us (the organizers ) and the best parking spot is reserved for Trip. You can fight us on the bedroom and Trip on the space, neither will go the way you think.

Hah - the last part reminds me of college. Senior year, a couple friends and I rented a slightly shabby old house that happened to have a one car garage.
Guess who got the garage? :D
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

Hey “compact” “ midsize SUV” what’s the difference?
Oh about 10” in width.

For that one I would’ve needed a sunroof.
Still would've done it.

I believe I would have backed into that spot. It looks like there would have been more room to open the door.

In all seriousness, how did you get out of the car?

There’s about 6 inches of space on the driver’s side.
I put the window down, slipped out with a little body contortion, then closed the door and r eached in and put the window up as much as I could. Reversed the process when I came back.
I'm proud to say my door never touched his either time.

Haha, they know I’d just turn around and go home, because I’ve done it! It’s usually someone’s new significant other that causes a problem....Ya gotta be careful with that the older you get. Get involved with someone the group hates or someone that hates the group... and say good by to your SO or the friend group...your choice

I love how I see cars like a midsize SUV in the compact spaces. I recently parked my Prius in a group of Hybrid only spaces in front of a organic market. There was a Silverado and an E xplorer parked on either side of me.
